OUR PROJECTS
At Reykjavík Geothermal, we focus on advancing geothermal energy initiatives in regions with significant resource potential and the capacity to support sustainable development. Our global project pipeline spans countries that offer the right conditions to drive impactful and reliable geothermal energy initiatives. From Europe to the Americas, Africa to the Middle East, our work is transforming energy landscapes with clean, dependable power.
Iceland
Iceland is a global leader in geothermal energy and Reykjavík Geothermal’s home base. In the Ölfus municipality, just outside of Reykjavík, we are developing geothermal projects that deliver both electricity and thermal energy, enhancing opportunities for green industry growth. Our project developments are designed to deliver significant social and economic benefits while minimising negative environmental impact.

Canary Islands, Spain
Reykjavík Geothermal in partnership with DISA is developing the first geothermal power projects in the Canary Islands. The projects aim to address the urgent energy challenges faced by the Canary Islands, where most electricity is currently generated from imported fossil fuels, entailing high cost and significant carbon emissions.
The successful implementation of these geothermal projects could serve as a long-term solution for cleaner and more reliable energy in the region.
