Mr Thorleifur Finnsson, the French speaking Managing Director and Head of Project Development at Reykjavik Geothermal, was invited to introduce Reykjavik Geothermal to the French Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, Ms Marie-Ségolène Royal on 28 July 2015. Ms Royal visited Iceland in an official capacity at the invitation of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland and the Minister for Industry. During her visit Ms. Royal also met with the Icelandic President Mr Olafur Ragnar Grimsson.

Think Geoenergy – Mexxus RG consortium wins 1st geothermal permit for private enterprise in Mexico
MexxusRG, a Mexican company specialized in geothermal development, obtains the first exploration permit endorsed by SENER (Energy Commission) awarded to a private company. MexxusRG is a joint venture formed by Mexxus Drilling International (Mexxus), a Mexican based drilling company, and Reykjavik Geothermal (RG), an Icelandic based geothermal power Development Company. Both companies have been working together for several years in the state of Nayarit near the Ceboruco volcano completing scientific studies and feasibility work.

Ms Yulia Tymoshenko visits Reykjavik Geothermal
Ukrainian politician and businesswoman, Ms Yulia Tymoshenko, visited Reykjavik Geothermal headquarters in Iceland today, 16 June, 2015. Ms Tymoshenko was the first woman to be appointed Prime Minister in Ukraine. She and RG CEO Gudmundur Thoroddsson discussed geothermal potential in Ukraine, business development opportunities and potential future cooperation.
