BSI carried out the annual audit of the Reykjavik Geothermal QHSE Business Management System on the 29-31 of October 2020. Assessment standards were ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018. Three opportunities for improvement were observed.
In her executive summary, the auditor noted:
“The strategic direction of the company included the development of economically successful projects for stakeholders including negotiations with foreign governments to ensure compliance with local environmental and health and safety requirements, in addition to those of the IFC and numerous international banks. There was clear line of sight from the stated strategic direction to project development and management. This was evidenced through project reviews, reports produced for stakeholders, internal audits etc.”
Assessment conclusion and recommendation was:
“The audit objectives have been achieved and the certificate scope remains appropriate. The audit team concludes based on the results of this audit that the organization does fulfil the standards and the audit criteria identified within the audit report and it is deemed that the management system continues to achieve its intended outcomes.”
